In 1972, a group of young architects founded BD with the intention of producing and marketing furniture and other objects for their projects. They published both their own designs and those of authors they admired, from Antoni Gaudí and Salvador Dalí to Ettore Sottsass and Alessandro Mendini. They were pioneers of design in Spain and immediately gained recognition and admiration from industry professionals who were looking for something different from what was available in the market. As we approach our 50th anniversary, we continue with the same nonconformist spirit of the beginning. We are present in more than 60 countries through the best design stores and art galleries, and we work with the most cutting-edge interior design and architecture studios around the world.
